Drylands Initiative For Ecosystem Restoration And Capacity

Founded in 2017, Drylands Initiative for Ecosystem Restoration and Capacity Building is a non-profit environmental based non-governmental organization committed to building communities resilience to the negative impacts of desertification, drought, climate change and other environmental challenges the bedeviling the Drylands of Sub-Saharan Africa. We aim to secure sustainable drylands within the dynamic global ecosystem.

To secure sustainable local environment within the dynamic global ecosystem by building the capacity of land users to adopt best practices in addressing environmental problems thereby improving the quality of the ecosystem and the biodiversity work again.

Drylands Initiative for Ecosystem Restoration and Capacity Building (DINERCAB) is led by its Executive Director who is the formal head of the organization. The Executive Director reports to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), The executive Director is deputize by the Secretary General, supported by a team of competent managers working in different units such as programme officers, analysts and finance and administrative assistants. The executive director is responsible for the overall management of the organization. This team jointly forms the management structure for the organization. There are also volunteers and interns that contribute to the management of the organization.

Partnerships and collaborations are the backbone of Drylands Initiative for Ecosystem Restoration and Capacity Building (DINERCAB). We refer to “Partners” as all those individuals, communities, government and non-governmental organizations, departments and agencies that we work together in the implementation of our programmes and interventions. Beneficiary communities, national and international donors, government and non-governmental organizations are what can be best referred to as Partners. These partnerships help the organization (financially and technically) to achieve its mission.

Our Process

Governance Structure

Drylands Initiative for Ecosystem Restoration and Capacity Building (DINERCAB) is governed by its Board of trustees (BoT). The Board is the key policy making and governance body of the organization and works independently. It formulates and approves policies and organizational systems and evaluates the overall performance the organization on periodic basis. The Board of trustees consists of seven members and is headed by a Chairman
